STEAMBOAT SPRINGS TO LYNX PASS CAMPGROUND – 39 Miles

Leaving Boat via rural roads was filled with road bike traffic on a weekday afternoon! Awesome sauce!! The riders gave us cheers and thumbs up as they passed us. The day was very hot and for the most part we were exposed to the sun with no tree cover. It made for a slow day and frequent stops along the mostly gravel path. The ride was not hard nor steep.

I just realized today that perhaps the altitude was the reason why I felt out of breath and tired. I thought it was due to a lack of protein in my diet and or extra weight for food. However after taking a blood pressure test at a Safeway and with elevated results, I determined the increase in 4K ft from Brush Mountain to Boat was the culprit and would take a few days to acclimate.
