Day 7 – Baynes Lake to Eureka MT 43 miles

Today we left BC and Canada and crossed into the US to Eureka MT. It was a semi-wet ride with several clothes changes as the weather changes. It has rained everyday on our ride so far and we look forward to some dry days, though we’ve been informed by some Big Sky locals “welcome to the wet Montana summer”.

The ride had a few long climbs and 8 miles of heard wind just past the boarder crossing all the way to Eureka. As the ride yesterday, there was minimal riding off road and mostly road riding.

From what I observed, the Canadian drivers drive fast but for the most part are courteous  towards cyclists. Drivers give cyclists a wide berth and will generally cross the center line for cyclists.
